Brief Biography:

Mr. Darling is currently Vice President of Acquisitions at HG Capital where he is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and structuring asset and portfolio investments. He also oversees the due diligence process and business plan development for each property. Conner has 5+ years of real-estate experience having financed, brokered, valued, and/or purchased commercial real-estate and has assisted in the origination and closing of over $500 Million in debt and equity transaction volume and the valuation of $6.0 Billion in real estate transaction volume.

Currently, Mr. Darling is an Associate for the Newmark Houston Debt and Structured Finance Group. His primary responsibilities include the origination of construction, interim and permanent debt, mezzanine financing and equity for all commercial real estate product types in various stages of the investment cycle (including acquisitions, refinances, partnership buyouts and new development). His role also includes assisting in managing all aspects of the transaction process (including underwriting, marketing, client and lender contact and closing). Mr. Darling joined Newmark’s Debt & Structured Finance Group in 2020.

Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Darling was an Associate within Newmark Knight Frank’s Valuation & Advisory group. In this role his responsibilities were developing valuation models to evaluate pro-forma financial performance of individual properties, performing in-depth research on properties including comparables, market, demographics and property tax records and interacting with clients daily to facilitate each project.

Mr. Darling graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Accounting.
